GreenStreet Cafe

address: 3468 Main Highway, The Grove

the guest list: Christine, Kat, Giselle, Angela, Jon

what we are: chocolate chip & banana pancakes, cream cheese & chive omelette, eggs benedict

what we thought: hit the spot

In the memory book of my life, GreenStreet is in the chapter filled with blurry nights and alcohol. I'd never really tried this place in the daylight, and much less sampled it's food.

I had always heard that brunch here was a must-try... so this Sunday, we tried it. We were a group of 5.5 (a small dog was involved) and we were seated in about 20 minutes after meeting at 12:30p - which was surprising because I heard the wait can be a pain.

Ordered the standard mimosas while waiting in the big red velvet couches along the sidewalk. Brunch was 1/2 order of banana chocolate pancakes - and it was more than enough. Go ahead and sing along to the Jack Johnson song - because that's how happy it made me.

Service was great - we were never rushed, and they didn't mind splitting the check 5 ways. It was a very leisurely afternoon, in the shade but still enjoying the beautiful weather.

Glad to add GreenStreet to a more grown-up chapter in my life. :)
