Town Kitchen & Bar

address: 7301 SW 57th Court, South Miami (near Sunset Place)

the guest list: Christine, Tracy, Angela, Jon, Kat, Alex

what we ate: french toast, eggs benedict, omelette

what we thought: wow, unlimited? yes please!

Town was this Sunday's destination on our Miami brunch tour. Our visit was delayed by a week because we found out they only serve brunch until 1pm (lame)... but this time we managed to arrive early enough so we wouldn't have to rush.

$15 for unlimited mimosas meant our server brought a PITCHER to our table. That's right, you don't have to wait for them to refill - you just pour. And she even told us that if it the mimosa was "too dark" she would add some champagne for us - score!

I ordered the Somi omelet (which I later realized is SoMi... as in South Miami) with chorizo and manchego cheese. It was probably one of the best things I've eaten for brunch so far... so many great flavors on my plate! Everyone had the table wanted a bite... and I will definitely be ordering it again.

Others at the table ordered french toast a la foster with the rum caramel... delicious.

The service was spot-on... the atmosphere was calm and relaxed - lots of families, couples (no "cougars" on the prowl like so many Yelp posts allege).

Only wish they had a more extensive brunch menu... as in, some "lunch" options, and not just "breakfast"... if not, why call it Brunch??
